Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol reports that an out-of-state woman was injured in a snowmobile accident in the Town of Boonville on Friday.
Patel Samir, 41 of Ohio, was driving his snowmobile when he lost control of it on an icy roadway.
The snowmobile rolled over and he and his passenger Rita Shinde, 51, were thrown from it.
Shinde had pain on her right leg and right side and was treated on the scene by the Boonville Fire Department as was later aken to a hospital in Utica.
Deputies said that the accident was caused by operator inexperience and icy conditions. No tickets have been issued.
