Spectrum has confirmed it will be increasing costs to consumers starting next month.

The rate changes will go into effect on or after November 1.

The rate increases will be put into place in all markets.

  • Broadcast TV surcharge will increase from $8.85 to $9.95 per month
  • Spectrum receivers, from $6.99 to $7.50
  • An increase from $54.99 to $59.99 per month for Spectrum Internet for current customers who subscribe to Spectrum TV
  • An increase from $64.99 to $65.99 per month for Spectrum Internet for current customers who do not subscribe to Spectrum TV.

There will be no change to package prices of Spectrum TV or Spectrum Voice.

The increase comes as Spectrum continues its talks with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC). The cable company has been given until December 24 to come up with an exit plan from New York.

The PSC moved to stop Spectrum\Charter’s operations in July after regulators ruled the company did not expand the reach of its network in the way it had promised when it merged with Time Warner Cable back in 2016.
