Stabbing in Syracuse sends one to the hospital

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 34-year-old man was stabbed in the chest early Saturday morning, police say.

Police responded to the 1000 block of South Townsend Street where the victim was located with a stab wound in the chest and at least two lacerations to the head, officials said.

He was transported to Upstate Hospital where he is expected to survive.

The investigation is active and ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.
