Standardized testing will resume this year, despite calls from educators to waive them again

Local News

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Standardized testing began on Monday for students in grades 3 through 8 for the first time since before the pandemic. The tests are taking place despite calls from the educators to waive them again this year.

The tests look different this year since they’re shorter, and English and math students will only have to take one section of multiple choice that lasts for an hour.
