State of Emergency declared in Town of Sterling along Lake Ontario & Little Sodus Bay shore

STERLING, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A State of Emergency has been declared on the shoreline of Lake Ontario and Little Sodus Bay in the Town of Sterling due to rising water levels.

The state of emergency is in effect starting Saturday, May 11, at 5 p.m. until further notice.

Water levels in these areas are rising and risking flooding and shoreline damage. 

The shorelines of Lake Ontario and Little Sodus Bay in the Town of Sterling are being declared no wake zones.
