State Police: Oswego County man allegedly threw game control at crying baby

Local News

CONSTANTIA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) —  An Oswego County man and his babysitter have been arrested following an investigation into injuries on a 3-month-old baby.

On May 14, the baby was treated at Upstate for bruising and swelling to the face, as well as scratches near the eye.

During their investigation, State Police say 25-year-old Nolan Webster, of Constantia, threw a video game controller at the 3-month-old because he became upset that the baby was crying.

Webster and the infant’s babysitter, 28-year-old Samantha Boots, were both charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Webster is also facing misdemeanor assault charges.

State Police’s investigation determined that Boots failed to “properly exercise reasonable diligence in the control of the child” to prevent the child from being injured.
