CENTRAL NEW YORK (WSYR-TV) — NewsChannel 9’s questioning of Governor Andrew Cuomo is getting the attention of State Senator Bob Antonacci.

Antonacci says he’s pleased the Governor is responding to concerns about how the state handled the search for convicted rapist Christopher Block.

When Andrew Donovan questioned the Governor on Thursday, Cuomo said he seed why people living in the Skaneateles and Auburn areas were furious the state didn’t notify them for 18 hours. But he equally defends the Department of Corrections’ strategy.

“Their position is they were in the midst of investigating and apprehending him. They were basically hot on his trail from the beginning. And they did not want to tip him off,” Cuomo said.
