Before Syracuse fans could enter the dome Saturday, they went through a few changes. One of those differences includes the new ‘Cuse on the Quad pre-game.
“I think it’s nice to see multiple tents with different types of food, be able to walk around and be able to interact with other fans where you don’t usually get that before games,” said Jordan Newman, a Season Ticket Holder.
At the event, there was live music, performances from the marching band, food and beverages. But that’s not the only addition to the fan experience. There is a new lot on University Place where you can get picked up or dropped off by Uber or Lyft.
“For people that want to try and find a different way to get here and obviously safely, if they don’t have a designated driver, that’s going to be an issue and it’s nice for people to tap into Uber or Lyft,” said Sue Kowalski, a Graduate of Syracuse University, Class of 2003.
Also new this year is the clear bag rule– if fans bring personal items into the Dome, they need to be visible. Those with season tickets have gotten bags in the mail, but they are also sold on the campus for a few dollars.
