SU law professor appointed to President Trump’s associate counsel

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Bridging the gap between Syracuse and Capitol Hill. President Donald Trump has named a Syracuse University law professor to the position of White House associate counsel.

Associate Professor Tara Helfman of SU’s College of Law was appointed to the position last month.

Helfman previously served as senior counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Civil Rights division and earned her law degree from Yale Law School
