Syracuse Fire Department battles stubborn vacant building fire on city’s south side

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) The Syracuse Fire Department responded to the former Oil Burner Supply Co. building on 1214 South State Street in Syracuse on Sunday.

The call came in at 8:48 p.m. Heavy smoke could be seen from the two story wooded vacant building. It took crews more than an hour to put the fire out entirely.

The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation.
