SYRACUSE, NY. (WSYR-TV) The Syracuse Fire Department is trying to determine what caused a car shop garage fire in the city Sunday afternoon.

Syracuse fire crews and police officers responded to 549 Burnett Ave. just before 4:30 p.m.

According to the Syracuse Fire Department, crews stretched a hose into the building and found a motorcycle on fire, with the fire extending to a car on a lift above it.

Crews had to force entry through an overhead steel door but they were able to put the fire out quickly.

Two people were inside the garage at the time, but they were able to get out safely.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
