The Syracuse Gun Show was in town this weekend and with more than 100,000 displays, it’s the biggest show in the state.
Visitors from all over the north-east come to tour the Center of Progress Building on the NYS State Fairgrounds.
While most are in it for the fun, organizers know gun safety is a hot-button issue.
“The 2nd amendment is what we’re basing our shows really on. We have the right to do what we’re doing. And every firearm as you walk around you’ll see has a plastic tag going around the trigger guard and bolt so they couldn’t be loaded here,” said Doug Roberts, The Director of NYS Arms.
Members of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office were also on hand to issue permits for any guns purchased at the event.
