What’s next for Syracuse mayoral candidate Joe Nicoletti?
It appears he’s prepared to make an announcement Monday morning.
Nicoletti clashed with fellow candidate Juanita Perez Williams during a debate on NewsChannel 9 right before last week’s democratic primary.
Asked if he would support the winner if he lost the primary, Nicoletti said he would “make a determination upon the final results.”
Perez Williams shot back, “It’s very concerning that the designee of the democratic party cannot say that when this is over, he can back the democratic candidate.”
Juanita Perez Williams ultimately won the democratic line Tuesday.
Nicoletti can still run against her in the general election in November as the Working Families Party candidate.
But, will he?
An e-mail notice regarding Nicoletti’s news conference on Monday doesn’t offer details about what will be discussed, though the subject line is listed as “A call for unity”.
