Syracuse Police investigating Sunday morning drive-by shooting on I-81

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Syracuse Police responded to a shooting around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, on South Salina Street near Calthrop Avenue near the South side.

An investigation found that a male victim, 23, was driving on I-81 North when a car pulled up next to him and started shooting at the car.

The driver was hit multiple times and his passenger, a 19-year-old female, was also hit.

Both were taken to Upstate Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Suspect information is limited at this time.
