Syracuse Police make arrest in May homicide on LaFayette Avenue

(WSYR-TV) — Syracuse Police have made an arrest in a May homicide in Syracuse on the 100 block of W. Fayette Avenue.

Ernest Johnson, 42, is in custody on the charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the shooting.

On Tuesday, May 21, around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for shots fired. When they got to the scene they found shell casings. They were later told a male victim, 43, drove himself to Upstate with wounds. 

On May 25, the victim — Shondell Days — died from his injuries.
