Syracuse Police have arrested 25-year-old Destanee Smith for allegedly stabbing two people Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 100-block of Dickerson Street in regards to a stabbing call.
When they arrived, Officers found a 21-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his chest and buttocks, and a 20-year-old female with a stab wound to her shoulder.
Officers then found Smith with a head injury after being struck with a fence post. Witnesses told investigators that Smith stabbed both victims during this incident, and that one of the victims struck her with a fence pole to try to stop her.
All three were transported to area hospitals for treatment and they are expected to recover.
Smith has been charged with two counts of Assault in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree.
Smith was later lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center after being treated for her head injury.
