Le Moyne College’s and Syracuse University’s new partnership is being described as ‘higher education and innovation blended together.’
SU’s iSchool and Le Moyne’s Madden School of Business are teaming up, giving students from both schools the chance to take courses at the other university.
“Each is teaching areas that the other might really like to have but we do not each have to develop our own program,” said Liz Liddy, the dean of the iSchool at Syracuse University. “So they have health informatics, we don’t have health informatics. We have data science, they don’t have data science, so each of us can ensure that our students get prepared for the areas they’re interested in without us having to develop whole new programs.”
Students can use the credits earned toward their masters, or for a separate certificate of advanced study.
