A Central New York native will make history on ESPN Monday night as she becomes the first woman to do play-by-play for a nationwide NFL game.
Beth Mowins has been calling football games for more than two decades, starting off in humble beginnings like working for WXHC in Homer many years ago.
She grew up in North Syracuse where she was a star basketball player for C-NS. This new assignment for ESPN and CBS is what Mowins has been dreaming about since she was a kid.
Mowins talked with Carrie Lazarus over Skype for this week’s Conversation.
