Many fans have likely been counting down the days since it was announced earlier this year that Sir Paul McCartney would be performing at the Carrier Dome.
McCartney will be performing at a sold-out show at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Dome can seat close to 50,000 people.
Ticketmaster.com advises concert-goers to get to the Carrier Dome early, since there will be high security at venue entrances and there is no opening act for McCartney.
Parking lots open at 3 p.m., and the free shuttle from Manley Fieldhouse and Skytop parking lots begins at 4 p.m.
Paid parking is available at the Skytop parking lot (601 Skytop Road). Free shuttle transportation is provided to and from main campus to this lot.
Accessible parking (for those with ADA hang tags or license plates that signify a disability or medical condition) is available in the Skytop lot. Free shuttle transportation is provided from the Skytop lot to Gate A of the Carrier Dome.
Parking costs $20 per car and $40 per bus/RV. Parking is cash only.
Venue gates open at 6 p.m. There is no re-entry once you leave the Dome.
There are three wheelchair accessible entrances: Gates A, C and G. An elevator is located inside the Dome, behind the box office at Gate B, that provides access to the upper level.
- Gate A, located on the south side of the stadium, is where the handicap accessible shuttle bus drops off and picks up.
- Gate C, located on the northwest corner of the stadium, is near the walkway from the Irving Garage.
- Gate G, located on the southeast corner of the stadium (just east of Gate A), is where the handicap accessible shuttle bus picks up.
Guests with tickets for the floor may enter the Dome at any gate.
The floor seating area can be accessed from any aisle leading to the floor. At the stairs to the floor, guests will have tickets verified and receive a wristband. This process will happen inside of the Carrier Dome. If you have floor seats, account for this process when planning how early to enter the stadium.
