Despite a rainy Saturday, thousands still participated in Syracuse’s popular “Downtown Living Tour”.
The event gives people a chance to see some of the city’s newest and most luxurious apartments.
“It’s become a 24/7 community,” Melissa Zell, an owner of the State Tower building, said. “That’s the thing that’s pulling the empty nesters out of the suburbs.”
The State Tower was among nine buildings participating in this year’s event. Participants of this year’s tours also received special deals from shops and restaurants along the route.
There are currently about 150 more apartments being constructed in downtown Syracuse.
