All three kittens that were rescued last week from a man who said he would kill them if forced to keep them have died.
The Oswego County Humane Society provided an update late Tuesday night:
“The veterinarian has advised us that the reason is unknown. We supplemented the kittens food with the proper formula and the kitten was able to gain weight for a short period before beginning to decline. There is no way of knowing what went wrong. Our animal services staff and the veterinarians have done everything they can to support the young felines. The mother cat is going to be fostered and available for adoption soon. Fulton Animal Hospital has been indispensable to us in providing resources and support for this cat family. We also thank those in the community that have donated financial assistance to support our efforts. These donations have helped us and your continued support is greatly appreciated.”
Joe Stabb, Oswego County Humane Society Executive Director
The two other kittens died Friday due to the complications of thier birth and their inability to feed properly.
The Humane Society says anyone is interested in adopting the mother cat, adoption applications can be found by clicking here.
