Three Syracuse schools to be renamed

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Three Syracuse City Schools will be renamed following the board approving new resolutions on Wednesday night.

Danforth Middle School will become Brighton Academy and will begin educating grades six through eight this fall.

Dr. King Elementary will become STEAM at Dr. King Elementary School and start educating Pre-K through fifth grade in the fall.

West Academy at Blodgett will become Syracuse STEM at Blodgett and grades six through eight would be the focus.
