The SU women tipping off at the Carrier Dome on Sunday while the Girl Scouts of America were kicking off cookie season. Girl Scouts of all ages filled the Carrier Dome for the game against UNC.
The girls got to enjoy the game together, while also jump starting their cookie sales.
Some of them told NewsChannel 9, it’s fun to watch the game together, but it’s even more rewarding to be a Girl Scout.
“I love being with all of my friends and coming together,” said Girl Scout Elliana Teyson.
“There’s a lot of people that like to be a Girl Scout selling cookies around the world, and a lot of people bring joy to the world,” said Girl Scout Lillian Rangel.
One troop leader says the girls learn goal-selling and money-management skills while selling the cookies.
