UPDATE (8/25/2022 7:00 a.m.) — The names of the two victims in Wednesday’s double shooting in which both victims died have been released by the Syracuse Police Department. Officers arrived on the scene to find a 32-year-old woman, Alexis Sellin, and a 46-year-old man, Jamie Crawford, both dead inside an apartment building on the 3100 block of Burnet Ave. on Wednesday, August 24 at about 3:37 p.m. Syracuse Police say that while the bodies were found at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, it does not mean that’s when the shooting took place.
A source tells NewsChannel 9 that a child was found in the apartment where the two bodies were found Wednesday afternoon.
Police say both died from gunshot wounds and this is still an active investigation. Anyone with information is to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two people are dead, both victims of gunshot wounds. Syracuse police say the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside an apartment on Burnet Ave. near the corner of Aberdeen Terrace, Syracuse late Wednesday afternoon.
Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile tells NewsChannel 9 the investigation is very active but there is no threat to the community.
There is a large police presence on the scene and police are calling this, “a suspicious death investigation.”
