Two men face charges after the report of a suspicious vehicle in Wayne County led to an arrest in Cayuga County.
Thirty-one-year-old Derrick Sedore and 26-year-old Caleb Pilkenton are charged with robbery, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful imprisonment.
The investigation began with the report of the vehicle parked on Viele Road in Red Creek. Troopers and Wayne County deputies later found the vehicle parked on Craine Road in the Town of Sterling in Cayuga County.
Troopers say the vehicle was running with no one inside it. But, investigators say they spotted Sedore and Pilkenton running from a nearby home.
Investigators set up a perimeter and were able to track down the two men.
An investigation found Sedore and Pilkenton had bound and beaten a homeowner on Craine Road before taking off on foot with items from the home.
They are being held in Cayuga County Jail without bail. More charges are pending, troopers add.
