UPDATE: Man wearing cowboy hat in Berkshire Bank robbery in Oriskany Falls is in custody

UPDATE: Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Walter Parker, 71, of West Carthage who was caught on tape robbing the Berkshire Bank in the Village of Oriskany Falls on May 8.

Deputies say that during the investigation they found articles of clothing that Parker wore. The DNA evidence led to the capture of Parker. Deputies say he committed multiple bank robberies around New York State in 2004. He’s being held in Oneida County Jail.

ORISKANY FALLS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a man that robbed the Berkshire Bank on Main Street.

The Sheriff’s Office says a white male in his 50s entered the bank Wednesday morning and displayed a weapon and demanded money.

The man was wearing a cowboy hat and left on foot.
