Rescued puppies

Several puppies are recovering after an accident on I-86 East in New York’s Southern Tier region on Tuesday.

State Police provided more photos of the puppies involved on Wednesday.

A van carrying more than 100 dogs to area pet shops overturned – five of the dogs received injuries.

The injuries were treated by the Finger Lakes SPCA.

Three dogs have been released while two are staying behind.

Authorities say the driver of the van, Emily Woodrum of Webb City, Missouri, was speeding when she lost control of the car and went into the ditch.

There is no word whether the driver was ticketed.
