SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Upstate University Hospital’s Cancer Center has introduced a new weapon in the fight against bladder cancer.
It is called Blue Light Cystoscopy and it helps doctors better detect and diagnose cancerous tumors in the bladder.
Doctors say surveillance is key to treating bladder cancer because if undetected, tumors can grow and the cancer can spread.
Upstate will be the only facility in Central New York to offer this technology.
