NEW YORK STATE (WSYR-TV) — The New York Blood Center has issued an urgent call for donors because the state’s blood supply has dropped significantly.
Those with the center say that there’s been a major drop in regular blood donations and that the region’s supply has reached critically low levels.
In order to maintain a safe blood supply, a seven-day inventory of all blood types has to be maintained. Right now, reserves are below that minimum,
