After an extensive search, the United Way of CNY has announced that they’ve appointed a new President.
Nancy Eaton was elected by a 14-person search committee.
“We are delighted to welcome Nancy to the United Way. She is very well-known throughout Central New York and brings a broad level of experience and passion to the position that will lead us as we continue our vital work in the community”, said UWCNY Board Vice Chair Virginia Biesiada O’Neill, who led a fourteen person search committee comprised of a diverse group of community leaders and stakeholders.
Eaton comes to the United Way with over twenty years’ experience in the local not for profit sector, most recently with ARISE Child & Family Services, where she served in several senior leadership positions for the past seven years.
Eaton will begin on July 10, allowing for an orderly transition from current President Frank Lazarski, who will be retiring at the end of August after a fourteen year career with the United Way.
