(WSYR-TV) — As Salt City Comic-Con 2019 gets ready to take over the New York State Fairgrounds, rumor has it a mysterious green slime has been spotted on the walls of Syracuse’s City Hall.
“There were reports of Slimer here in City Hall,” said Mayor Ben Walsh.
The proof is in the bottle, Slimer left his mark. And who better to clean up his mess than Winston Zeddemore himself?
“Like a lot of cities in America, there’s a lot of slime and slime reacts to vibration,” said Ernie Hudson, the actor who plays Zeddemore.
Good or bad energy, both leave behind sticky, gooey slime.
“Hopefully Comi-Con will inspire people to have fun and let go of all those differences,” said Hudson.
Stepping into a world where heroes reign and creativity thrives. Comi-Con is a place for kids like Riley Reitz to meet their favorite icons and keep their imagination alive.
“I’m in the works of becoming a ghostbuster of CNY,” said Reitz.
Reitz is amongst countless fans of the series that captured the minds of all ages.
“It was just an awesome movie,” said Reitz. “My dad showed me it so that was a connection and bond between us.”
A bond that will last a lifetime while leaving a mark on those who now sports the iconic jumpsuit.
“It’s not just dressing up and ya know having fun, obviously it’s that, but it’s making sure you put a smile on someone’s face,” said Reitz.
Using that positive vibration to put the ghosts around us to bed. “Either we’re little kids who are afraid of the closet or we’re old people afraid of what’s gonna happen next. But I think together, we’re bigger than the ghosts,” said Hudson.
Salt City Comic-Con 2019 runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Expo Center.
