William Wood Jr., the man who was accused of killing two employees at the DeWitt Chili’s, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and several other charges.

Wood opened fire inside the DeWitt Chili’s in September of 2018, killing Stephen Gudknecht and Kristopher Hicks.

Onondaga County DA Bill Fitzpatrick said Wood intended to kill more, but his gun appeared to have jammed.

Wood is pleading guilty to all ten counts of his indictment, including first- and second-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Wood will be sentenced on April 15.

Four other people have been charged for their involvement in the deadly robbery.
