A strong cold front that will drop our temperatures Friday will also bring gusty wind.

A Wind Warning has been issued for Jefferson County for 4 a.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Friday. A Wind Advisory has been issued for Oswego, northern Cayuga, and Wayne counties for 4 a.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Satuday and for Lewis county from 4 a.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Friday. A Wind Advisory has also been issued for southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison and Otsego counties from 1 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Wind gusts up to 50-60 mph are likely in the morning and again in the afternoon.

With ice still on trees, watch out for down trees and limbs. Isolated power outage cannot be ruled out. High winds could make driving difficult. If you have any loose items outdoors (like garbage cans) be sure to secure them or bring them in as soon as possible.
