One woman is dead following a house fire in the Town of Scriba Saturday.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, 81-year-old Violet F. Miner was pulled from her home on State Route 104 at 9:51 a.m.

Miner was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is still being investigated.

Multiple departments including Scriba, New Haven, Novelis and Volney all responding to the fire.

The home was showing heavy smoke when they arrived and put out in just under an hour.

The Oswego County investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
