GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On the second day of the New York State Fair, 77,242 people came out to the fair. That is down 9,111 from last year. However, fair officials say it is still above average for this day of the fair where the average is usually around 57,000 people.
Chevy Court act Grace Potter drew in a crowd of 8,700 for her set on Thursday night.
FUN FACT: The first Thursday ranks dead last in average attendance among all 13 days of the Fair. Attendance has gone up as the Fair added the Three Dollar Thursday promotion that lowered the cost of admission, but it remains the lightest-attended of all Fair days.
