NYS Republican Party Chairman stepping down in July to work on Trump’s reelection campaign

NEW YORK STATE (WSYR-TV) — There is a shakeup in the New York State Republican Party. Ed Cox, the longtime chair, is stepping down.

Cox is taking on a new role raising money for President Trump’s reelection campaign.

Now, Erie County Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy looks poised to take the chair when Cox steps down in July.

Langworthy has previously launched a bid to replace Cox and gained support from local leaders, including Onondaga County GOP Chair Tom Dadey.
