Putting the creative minds of Syracuse students to work this weekend, Onondaga Community College hosted the state Vex Robotics competition on Saturday.
The day-long event was filled with skills challenges and playoffs giving students a fun and competitive way to challenge their minds and learn something new.
“It gives these kids a chance to really work together in a collaborative environment where they get to learn a lot more about engineering and science, and then they get to apply those skills that are hands-on with the robots,” said event coordinator Bryan English.
Coordinators say events like these can also help spark student’s interests in science and engineering.
