21-year-old Novelette Yancy was murdered right in front of her 3-year-old child in 1982.
Her daughter, the last person aside from the killer to see her alive, says a man put her in a closet and gave her a bowl of cereal.
She came out after a while, only to find her mother’s lifeless body on the floor of their Mulberry Square apartment.
The killer called the young girl, Courtney, “pinky” and she remembers his dark skin and glossy, loosely curled hair.
If you have any information that could help detectives solve her murder, call the cold case homicide squad at 315-442-5234. All tips will be kept confidential.
