SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — After two seasons with Syracuse University, Oshae Brissett is leaving the Orange basketball team for the NBA draft.
Brissett made the announcement via Twitter Tuesday night. Brissett said, “…playing for Syracuse University and learning from a Hall of Fame coach has always been a dream of mine. I am forever grateful for my time at Syracuse and all the love and support I’ve received from Orange Nation.”
Since announcing he would test the NBA waters, Brissett has been working out in front of scouts at the NBA GLeague Elite Camp and the NBA Combine in Chicago.
This past season at SU Brissett averaged 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
Jim Boeheim issued a statement that read:
“I want to thank Oshae Brissett for all he did in his two years with our program. He was an important part of two NCAA Tournament teams at Syracuse. We appreciate his contributions and now wish him the best of luck.”
