SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV - More than 200 ornaments were donated ot St. Joseph's Hospital as a part of 'Regan's Acts of Kindness.'
The ornament drive was named for Regan Shetsky, a 3-year-old who was hit and killed by a car outside her daycare earlier this year.
Organizers received so many ornaments that they are also delivering some to Golisano Children's Hospital later in the week. Kids will be able to get ornaments with their favorite characters on them, like My Little Pony and Star Wars.
In addition, each child who participated in the Shop with a Cop and Shop with a Firefighter event at Destiny on Saturday received an ornament.
“Regan absolutely loved Christmas and everything it entailed. It was a magical time of year for her and we are happy to continue her happiness by providing some Christmas cheer to others,” said Regan’s mom, Kelly Shetsky. “Thank you so much to everyone who donated and collected ornaments. Your support is heartwarming.”
