Phoenix student charged after threatening another student with Airsoft pistol

PHOENIX, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — In the Village of Phoenix, a middle school student is facing charges after police say he threatened another student with an Airsoft pistol.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Spring Street near the elementary school. A witness called 911 and police quickly responded. The teen ran off. Police caught up with the boy and found the pistol he ditched on a pathway near the school.

The 12-year-old is facing criminal possession of a weapon and menacing charges.
