A Hannibal man whose car crashed into a house in Fulton and caught fire has been pronounced dead, according to police.

Fire and emergency crews responded to a scene on West First Street near Curtis Street in Fulton Thursday morning.

Police believe a “medical condition” led to the crash.

62-year-old Michael Harris was pulled out of the car and taken to Oswego Hospital, where he died.

Police believe the medical condition also contributed to the man’s death.

The home filled with smoke, but two people who were in the house were able to escape unscathed.

The street was initially closed following the crash.

It has since re-opened.
