State Police identify driver killed after hitting Steuben County school bus head-on

State Police have identified the driver involved in a deadly head-on collision with a Steuben County school bus.

According to Troopers, a vehicle traveling eastbound on ST-417 in the town of Erwin crossed over into the westbound lane and hit an Addison Central School District bus head-on.

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Kayanna Lehman, was killed in the collision.

The bus driver and the 10 students on board were not injured.

EMS checked out all the students involved, and the children were transported to the Corning Guthrie Hospital for further medical checks.

The crash occurred on March 20 around 7:45 a.m.

State Police are still investigating why the driver crossed into oncoming traffic.
