Subway has refreshed its logo to convey that its food, also, is fresh.

A favorite Subway special may soon be gone.

The fast-food chain’s signature $5 foot-long may not be available at your local store.

CEO Trevor Haynes told USA Today that each individual franchise owner can now choose whether or not to keep the option.

The change takes effect this month.

The $5 foot-long had been off the menu for years when Subway gave it second life last winter.

However, a lot of the franchisees thought the pricing was too low.

They complained about the profit margins that came with the deal.

The company is now encouraging franchisees to experiment with their own value deals based on business costs.
