Brendan Curry scored a late overtime goal to lift the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team to a dramatic 9-8 win over No. 2 Duke outside at C-NS high school on Sunday.
The Orange trailed by four goals with under six minutes left in regulation before tying things up and forcing overtime.
Stephen Refuss scored the game-tying goal with just over a minute left.
The game was moved to the C-NS high school field outdoors due to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange offense was only able to score 3 goals in the first three quarters but netted 5 in the fourth.

Rehfuss, Jamie Trimboli and Nate Soloman each scored 2 goals for the Orange. A trio of players scored two for the Blue Devils.
Drake Porter made 12 saves in goal for Syracuse with a save percentage of .600.
Syracuse moves to 5-2 on the season (1-1 ACC) and will play Notre Dame in South Bend at Noon on Saturday, March 30. That game can be seen on ESPNU or through WatchESPN.
