The No. 3 Syracuse women’s basketball team is coming off a big first-round win against No. 14 Fordham Saturday at the Dome.
As the team gears up for its second-round matchup against No. 6 South Dakota State on Monday, Coach Quentin Hillsman says the Orange and SDSU have a lot of similarities — especially from beyond the three-point line.
The team is happy to be home and hosting the first two rounds. As they prepare for Monday’s game, Coach Q says home court should prove to be an advantage.
“It always matters. Home crowd always matters. When you have a fan behind you it definitely gives you a boost. Gives you a little extra energy and obviously you know that’s why you play at home. That’s one of the advantages is playing at home … We had that last game and we expect to have it again this game,” Coach Q said Sunday.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. For more information on tickets, click here.
