Customers’ pharmacy information will be transferred to other local Walgreens stores.

Each of the affected Rite Aid stores was among the nearly 2,000 that are operated by Walgreens after one company bought some from the other last year.

Before Walgreens took over, the Rite Aid in Downtown Syracuse, at the corner of Salina and Fayette Streets, closed at the end of 2018.

Walgreens Corporation hasn’t responded to NewsChannel 9’s request for comment.
