A scene is now clear after a tractor trailer fire on the side of the thruway westbound before exit 39.
The call came in to crews around 3:55pm Sunday and cleared just before 7:30pm.
Only one lane was open westbound between exit 39 and 40. Traffic slowed in both directions as crews work to put the fire out.
No word yet on any injuries or what caused the fire.
