LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is taking place on Tuesday, with thousands of runners geared to participate.
The annual 3.5-mile race is run by groups of full-time employees from organizations within the business and public sectors.
From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on race day, the Onondaga Lake Parkway will be closed to normal vehicular traffic.
Drivers are also asked to keep in mind that after about 4:30 p.m. on race day parking near Onondaga Lake Park and the Village of Liverpool will be exceedingly scarce.
It is strongly recommended that all entrants and spectators use the off-site parking and free roundtrip shuttle service from NBT Bank Stadium, 1 Tex Simone Drive.
The NBT Bank Stadium parking lot opens at 3:30 p.m. and the first shuttle departs at 4 p.m. It will run continuously until 6:05 p.m.
Shuttle service resumes at 7:30 p.m. and will run continuously until 9:30 p.m.
The race kicks off at 6:45 p.m. at Onondaga Lake Parkway on May 21.
Team captains can pick up bibs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the team.
Runners must be at the start form-up area no later than 6:10 p.m
Walkers must line up in the last corral.
