Tanks for Genesee beer traveling down the Erie Canal are making their way through Central New York.
Six fermentation tanks went through Lock 20 in Marcy Friday morning, and they’re expected to be near Oneida Lake Friday night.
The tanks will eventually pass through Baldwinsville over the weekend.
The 60 by 20-foot tanks will eventually go to the Genesee Brewery in Rochester as part of a project to upgrade the facility’s system.
Six other Genesee Brewing tanks are in the Mohawk Valley.
